Prof. Dr. Kai Sassenberg
Head of the Social Processes Lab.
Kai Sassenberg is head of the Social Processes lab and full professor at the University of Tuebingen. He studied psychology at the University of Mannheim (diploma 1996) and received a Ph.D. from the University of Goettingen (1999). From 1996 through 1999 he was predoctural lecturer at the University of Goettingen. From 2000 to 04/2002 he was postdoc at University of Jena and at Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA, USA). Between 05/2002 and 01/2007 he was assistant professor at the University of Jena and head of the research group "Motivational and cognitive determinants of social discrimination". From 02/2007 until 10/2007 he was associate professor at the University of Groningen (Netherlands). In 11/2007 he joined the KMRC. In his lab he studies social phenomena in the context of information exchange and learning via new media.
