Member of the Knowledge Exchange Lab.
Tanja Engelmann studied psychology at the University of Mannheim, Germany (diploma graduation April 2001). Afterwards she was a junior consultant of the imagin Prof. Bochmann & Partner GmbH in Eppstein, Germany. From April 2002 to March 2005 she was a Ph.D. candidate with scholarship of the virtual Ph.D. program "Knowledge Acquisition and Knowledge Exchange with New Media" at the University of Tuebingen, Germany. The title of her thesis was "Knowledge Acquisition with Information Visualization. The Impact of Dimensionality and Color Coding" (disputation June 2005). Since April 2005 she works as a postdoc research scientist in the Knowledge Exchang Lab at the Knowledge Media Research Center and leads the project "Knowledge and Information Awareness for Fostering Computer-Supported Collaboration". Besides, she is involved in the project "Knowledge Awareness for Supporting the Identification of Solution-Relevant Case Features". Since March 2009 Tanja Engelmann is a scholarship holder of the "Margarete von Wrangell-Habilitationsprogramm", funded by the "Ministry of Science, Research, and Arts Baden-Wuerttemberg" and of the "European Social Fund".
