Nina Heinze, B.Sc.(Hon), M.A.

Nina Heinze received her B.Sc. (Honors) in Broadcast Production Management from the University of Colorado at Boulder (2002). She worked as media producer and consultant for several years before earning her M.A. in Mediapaedagogigcs from the University of Augsburg, Germany. Here she focused on Usability and Usability Engineering. She started working on her Ph.D. in Novermber 2007 as part of a project to foster key competencies with new technologies funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). She worked as research fellow at the Institute for Media and Educational Technology (imb) at the University of Augsburg (2007 - April 2009) before coming to the Knowledge Media Research Center in Tübingen in May 2009. Here she is a member of the STELLAR Network of Excellence. She is interested in research and design of digital learning environments in formal settings and web-based informal learning as well as the visualization of networks and their processes.
