Dr. Barbara Kump

Member of the Knowledge Construction Lab.

Since July 2010, Barbara Kump is a research assistant at the Knowledge Media Research Center. She is working in the EU-funded project MIRROR where she conceptualizes and carries out field studies on the topic of “reflective learning at work”.
Barbara Kump studied Psychology at the University of Graz, Austria, with a focus on Cognitive Psychology and Work Psychology (Diploma in 2006). Her diploma thesis was on „domain modelling for adaptive work-integrated learning“. From March 2007 to June 2010, she was working at the Knowledge Management Institute of Graz University of Technology and the Know-Center Graz in an interdisciplinary team. There, in the course of the EU-funded project APOSDLE, she wrote a dissertation on „evaluating the domain model of adaptive work-integrated learning systems“ that she completed with distinction in April 2010 at the University of Graz. Current work topics of Barbara Kump include reflective learning at work, the adaptive delivery of learning content, and the non-invasive diagnosis of user knowledge (user models).
