PhD students' Career Advancement at the KMRC
- Attendance at Conferences and Workshops
PhD students are encouraged to present their research at international
conferences and Workshops. Therefore, in most cases the KMRC pays travel expenses
and conference fees for attendants who give a presentation at the conference.
- National and international Collaborations
We are in close contact with other national and international research institutions.
In every task force, numerous established collaborations can be utilized and
extended for new PhD projects. Please visit our cooperating partners' project
webpages for further information.
- PhD Colloquium
The regular PhD colloquium is attended by the PhD students, their supervisors,
and interested guests. In this colloquium, PhD students present their work
in different stages, receive the participants' feedback, and have the opportunity
to discuss problems and open questions.
- KMRC Colloquium
In the KMRC colloquium, in-house or invited speakers present their research.
The speakers, mostly renowned scientists from international research institutions
or from industrial companies, are available for discussions after the talk.
- Publications
The publication of research results in high-ranking journals is explicitly
desired and will be supported by the heads of the research units from the
planning phase through the submission of the paper.
- Technical Support
A separate Media Technology unit at KMRC is in charge of service duties
as well as research and development tasks. This unit supports the KMRC members
in all technical questions - e.g., the design of conference posters, technical
support, or programming experimental environments.
