Dr. rer. nat. Kristin Knipfer

Member of the "Knowledge Exchange Lab".

Kristin Knipfer finished her studies of psychology at the University of Regensburg in 2005. She has received a scholarship as one of the PhD students of the Virtual Graduate School "Knowledge Acquisition and Knowledge Exchange with New Media" funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) (2005-2008). Then, she has been working as researcher in the context of the project Museum Learning. In 2009, she received her PhD summa cum laude from the University of Tuebingen.

In 2010, she received the Leibniz-Young Scientists Award in the category Humanities and Social Sciences.

In her research, Kristin Knipfer investigates the cognitive and social processes in computer-supported collaborative learning and team work, and the role of new media to support effective knowledge exchange in groups. She is currently involved in the EU funded research project MIRROR - Reflective learning at work and examines the role of reflection for organisational learning. Her research focuses on the psychological processes of reflection and the design of computertools that support individual and team reflection at work.
