Dr. Birgit Imhof
Member of the Hypermedia Lab.
Birgit Imhof has been working as a research scientist at the KMRC in the Hypermedia Lab of Prof. Dr. Gerjets since October 2007. She is engaged in the use of static and dynamic visualizations to support the understanding in scientific domains and in the use and evaluation of interactive displays. In April 2012 she finished her PhD. Birgit Imhof studied psychology at the Eberhard-Karls University of Tuebingen (Diploma 2007) with a focus on educational and media psychology and industrial and organizational psychology. During her studies she worked as a student assistant at the KMRC and at the Psychological Institute of the University of Tuebingen at the department of Applied Cognitive and Media Psychology and as an intern at Daimler AG, Stuttgart, Research and Technology/”HMI concepts and systems”/”HMI concepts and evaluation”.

Interactive Displays, the use of dynamic and static visualizations during knowledge acquisition, Human-Computer-Interaction, visuo-spatial abilities, eye tracking, near infraread spectroscopy
