Stefan Huber studierte Psychologie (Mag. rer. nat., 2009) und Angewandte Informatik (B.Eng., 2013) an der Paris-Lodron Universität Salzburg. Er ist seit März 2010 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien und arbeitet derzeit im Projekt „Implementation, neurokognitive Online Adaptation und Evaluation einer sozial-interaktiven web-basierten Lernplattform für Arithmetik“ (Projektleiter: Prof. Dr. Möller) im Rahmen des WissenschaftsCampus Tübingen. Ziel des Projekts ist die Implementierung und adaptive Ausgestaltung einer Internetplattform, die alltagsnahes Rechnen schulisch und außerschulisch unterstützen kann. Im Rahmen seiner Dissertation untersucht Stefan Huber den Einfluss von Kognitiver Kontrolle auf die Verarbeitung mehrstelliger Zahlen sowohl mittels empirischer Experimente (u.a. Eye-Tracking) als auch mit Computersimulationen.
